A lot of people, even podcasters, don’t realise that there are actually podcast awards! Move over Tony’s, Golden Globes and the rest! We decided to show you a few that you should definitely keep your eye on each year, and maybe even enter yourselves!
The People's Choice Podcast Awards
The name of this ceremony gives it all away! Facing its 14th year in 2019, Podcast Awards is split into 20 different categories and is streamed live to a huge audience online of around 25,000 people. Why not take a look back at who’s won in previous years and get some listening inspiration? Or you could even check out their Legacy Podcasts if you want some seriously top-notch podcasts!

British Podcast Awards
Pretty new to the game is the British Podcast Awards. This competition was created to highlight the very best of British podcasters. With 20 different awards, including the big ones of Podcast of the Year, Listeners’ Choice and Podcast Champion, there are plenty of categories to enter in to and, if you’re attending, plenty of listening recommendations!

The Webby Awards
Most people will probably know of the Webby’s through different YouTubers, but they actually have a “Podcast and Digital Audio” category as well! There are subcategories within that, for “Best Host”, “Best Individual Episode” and “Best Series”, so plenty of ways for podcasters to get involved and get themselves nominated.

Academy of Podcasters
Set up by a group of podcasters in order to recognise the best in the podcasting industry. With 15 different categories this time and nominations based on iTunes rankings, as well as industry input, their setup is pretty different. They also have a Hall of Fame which they have new inductees into every single year.
